Heathkit Ultra Pro HD8999 Morse Code Generator.
I'm not gonna do a full write up on this but I finally completed the USB conversion of my Heathkit morse code generator. I'd done a pass at this years ago, then got too ambitious with the project and it sat fallow. I decided to just remap the matrix, hook it up to a pro micro, and call it good. Here ...

The shipping is a real hit, but those keycaps are fab and I'm pretty sure this is FLS.

I asked the seller for the part number and he reports a 46010A. For the chance to try FLS that haven't been through the ringer, I'm down. Figured, somebody else might want the other.

I found myself with a spare evening and decided that I wanted this thing done. I can really live without lock lights (I hardly ever use Capslock or Numlock in my everyday life, and Scroll-lock is almost obsolete). However, I thought of a great way to do the conversion, and I have spare pins on the ...

Hoo boy, it took me a while to get back to this project. I got a little ahead of my abilities both in documentation and in actually getting stuff done so I had to take a break and circle back. That being said: the conversion is complete. There's another small but cool mod ahead, but I'll get to that ...

Looks like you got a little CRT too, unless that's not what the thing with a handle on the top is.
That was the lightest CRT TV I've ever held. Really cheap feeling and ratty. No idea if it worked. It along with about 30 lbs of old computer speakers, 3 fax machines, and all the ratty rubber dome ...

Liquidation Sale Small Haul
So an electronics company in my area went up for liquidation. Almost all of the lots were nothing of interest or things that I couldn't store. Somebody outbid me on the Toshiba TS5200, which is a shame, but they wanted it more. I did get one lot though for less than a tenner. It was a full shelf of ...

This is so fucking cool. Need to get my hands on a (cheapo) sous-vide!
You should get one anyway. I'm not joking; it's the best cooking tool you can have behind a good knife and a cast iron pan. Beautiful steaks, tender brisket, and the juciest chicken you've ever eaten: all of these await you on ...

Peroxide also works well with heat instead of UV light. It's harder to pull off with cases but keycaps can be dunked in it and gently heated. But be careful ; too high a heat can soften the plastics and case them to warp, especially spacebars.
