Re: Glorious GMMK Pro review (Glorious Pandas)
Ok, it's 25-years old shitty music. Sorry!
And stick to MX style of switches, don't tell me now that Silo or Hall Effect is MX platform just because vendors pitied your keycaps "investments" and thought of throwing you a bone.
Click Leaves?? As in Alps-invented ones or which ones you mean ...

Re: Glorious GMMK Pro review (Glorious Pandas)
See, you're cherry-picking my statements... we were talking about platforms: inclusion, equality, diversity, etc. Right? Alps the better one! Nobody feels special using Alps. Just lucky boards still survived...
Seeing people throwing more money at the MX platform is saddening, it's so -again ...

Re: Glorious GMMK Pro review (Glorious Pandas)
I mean... the fact that you like shitty music doesn't change the fact that the music is... shitty. Objectively speaking. There's a reason why the entire French rap didn't get as many awards as Beatles, for example :)

Re: Glorious GMMK Pro review (Glorious Pandas)
Wouldn't miss the opportunity to support the discussion with an objective view: MX is a piece of shit platform, except if you're into having a #diverseLED #colourful #stupidly-made-from-metal keyboard which sounds and feels like crap - which, btw, are the most important cues when typing; and I would ...

The Alpha's are Hiragana with a mixture of Lavender, Purple, Light Blue and Black Dye-subs with Coral flair, and a split space.

Re: All right, what's up with these linear Alps?
Smoothness-wise, you can't beat those modern contactless switches. However, linear Alps very much have a certain je ne sais quoi to them, like you said. Linear Alps were also the first linears I liked, as it happens :) .

Re: Alps Lubricant FOUND!
Well, we think we found as close as we're gonna get. TB1855 is a silicone based JIS spec grease that seems to be a direct descendant of the original Alps lube, at least in terms of composition. The only problem is getting a sample of it, as it is not available online anywhere except within ...

AEK2 with oranges?? Any way to distinguish them from creams and whites?fohat wrote: 13 Jul 2020, 17:17
I kept one just as I bought it and another that I transplanted orange sliders and leaves into (from a similarly excellent AEK2, which also turn up pristine from time to time), and I actually prefer that one.

Re: ALPS and POM vs. nylon sliders
I, for one, appreciate your determination. Sure, some people here have their own... uhm... hidden interests, but you need to try detecting useful feedback. Look at how much time it took for the replica of the much more simpler buckling spring switches... When we're talking masterpieces, first try to ...

Re: What should green alps feel like?
A very fine glass nail file at start and continued with one of those rubbery nail files. Care is needed to keep some parts of the base sharp... you'll see what I mean if you study it carefully. If you've straighten everything (90 degree angles), you still get a good click in a smooth blue alps but ...

Has anyone tried to polish the side of a alps slider ? To get rid of any roughness or scratchiness that results form wear ?
It's the rails that are usually at fault; not sure how one would polish them tbh.
It's not always the rails or the sides of the slider, in my experience is more the ...

Great switches, no question, tons of thanks to lsoelxi for doing this GB!
They are really good but not *that* good, not blue-alps-good :) They're not first gen whites, the clicky leaf is more abrupt (straight angles, not rounded) and the plastic materials are different and also thinner. Those thick ...

A few weeks ago, I found an electronics store that had been supplying Alps swtich for a long time.
I was able to find a large amount of Alps SKCM White.
I sold the switch without margin to supply Alps White to many people.
I’m certain that everyone here is super grateful for what you’re doing ...

Any patterns/apparent problems on the sliders or with the switches in general. E.g. the recent skcl yellows got those strange patterns on the slider and are therefore not very smooth.
Anyway, +256 SKCM, thanks!

NMB RT 102
Wondering if anybody here got a black clicky kind of space invaders in great shape and with a big backspace. I think they're called NMB RT 102 (ISO), but maybe there are other brands.
Let me know, thank you!
