Re: Deskthority Rabbit Hole kit (2018 Christmas Edition)

I think I qualify. I have just got into the keyboard game with a model M and pingmaster. But I would like to get more experimental and do some restoration work. I have good soldering skills

Re: Getting Bus Mouse to work

As for converting it to ps/2, I don't think it's possible. With some code you could probably get it running with a teensy or Arduino micro in mouse emulation mode over USB.

Re: Getting Bus Mouse to work

The mouse uses a bus connector. In order for it to work it would have connected to a special add-in ISA card to talk to the computer.

Re: Do Alps SKCC (green) switches fit Commodore 64 keycaps?

Well I'm not sure what m50 keycaps are like, but the 2 part pingmaster keys are made of abs plastic with a clear plastic top. In terms of texture they are completely smooth and not as nicely textured as the other keys. I would imagine they are very prone to yellowing in the future. Sent from my Pixe...

Re: Model F AT not working

You can try replacing the electrolytic capacitors, they may have dried up or began to drift off value. It's a common thing for aging electronics.. If you can, send a picture of the PCB. Maybe it will help to diagnose the issue

I made custom legends on my pingmaster custom so they would fit with the rest of the keyboard. Image

IBM Pingmaster custom key legends

I decided to make some legends for the re-legendable caps on this keyboard. I am a perfectionist so I made them matching as close to the originals as possible https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181121/89d0d70f102c44645bd3472cb9a9db3a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181121/23735ba7ec657eba2506...

I don't know what system this is from specifically, but Canon made many PCs over the years. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/67/77/3e/67773ec2ca0a7b68ff5531fe2ed7cc5f.jpg I mean I've heard of Canon computers, but all that I've seen predate the AT era. Canon branded Chicony KB-5311?

I got this board from a friend. Typing this on it. It appears to be exactly the same as a Chicony KB-5311 except with the Canon logo instead. Standard PS/2 keyboard with a mini din connector, rubber domes. Despite being rubber domes they are fairly tactile, responsive, and quite nice. Dated 5-31-93....
