Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
I'm going to spin up Windows 10 in VirtualBox to see if it'll work there if you are able to pass through the USB device natively it may work. With jus the generic, translated USB keyboard via the virtualbox virtual keyboard driver, I suspect you may have issues communicating with the firmware on th...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
noticing now that my Right Ctrl, keypress is only intermittently being detected. it seems this key is default configured for 'Fn' on my F77. if I open via key tester and repeatedly hit Fn+1, Fn+2 etc. about half the time it detects as F1 or F2 and the other half it only detects as 1 or 2 (fails to d...

I’m really hoping for high-profile keycaps, something like this: https://matt3o.com/about-mt3-profile-and-devtty-set/ yes I almost pulled the trigger on this matt3o devtty set plus the numpad kit in preparation for using it with this beam spring reproduction but I wasn't totally it was compatible, ...

hope to see sound example videoThere is far less case, inner foam, and other materials to deaden and dampen the sound of the new Beam Spring Keyboards compared to the originals.

Re: Great/Interesting Finds
Orihalcon is the guru of the 4704 107-key variant. I am sure that he has been deluged with requests for them for several years. My guess is that he has supplied the majority of the ones owned by members of this forum. he's certainly where I got mine, and what a beauty it is. While I paid much less ...

Also have you ever stuck your face down in a pingmaster and taken a good whiff? Smells of pure burning plastic. That's gotta be toxic right? (smells fantastic btw)

Re: IBM pingmaster and bluetooth interference
You could try putting an EMI shield on top of the controller. Some thin foil or something could work. But try and prevent it from shorting out the components! thanks, if I get the guts to try opening this thing and poking around I'll give that a try. Should I be worried this thing is frying my brai...

IBM pingmaster and bluetooth interference
my pingmaster board interferes with bluetooth, for example if my apple magic trackpad is within 6 inches of the board the cursor lags and skips badly and if you hold the trackpad directly over the keyboard it loses bluetooth connection entirely.
is there any reason for concern or easy fix?

great board. I used one on a 3290 terminal for many years. Running batch jobs like that neat little note you have on yours
Now I have the F122 battleship because I love my numpad but I would certainly not pass on picking an unsaver up if I ever find one. congrats

Re: cut/copy/paste programmed keys in Mac OS X?
I tried with the built in media keyboard cut/paste etc. codes hoping I could use them and others. I guess Mac OS ignore them, was there never a media keyboard for Mac with such keys? oh well, not a big deal. I will use a macro as suggested to send cmd+c etc.

I know I am that way - get into something intensely for a while including posting actively on the best forums and movi...

cut/copy/paste programmed keys in Mac OS X?
I'm on a hackintosh. I've tried programming custom buttons for cut/copy/paste on a pingmaster with hasu convertor, an F122 with a Soarer's and a f107 with an xwhatsit. But in any case they don't seem to work for me in any application in Mac OS. Is this an expected limitation of the OS or does anyone...

I always knew I was a gold digger-.- The smaller the better, my mouse’s sens is always low AF, so I need some space saving things you know ^^ ah that does make sense. I've seen pro gamers and it always amazes me how low the sensitivity they have set their mouse to, using huge sweeping motions of th...

good luck in your search. I have always found it curious people pay such a premium for small keyboards. I've always preferred the opposite. The bigger, heavier and more buttons, the better!

thanks for the suggestions, I will definitely be trying a sticker or something non destructive if I feel like I can't adapt. Add honing bumps/pips to F and J keycaps?
Just acquired an IBM pingmaster with an external converter by Hasu. I can deal with the wonky chinese keycaps, but the lack of homing bumps on the F and J keycaps is bothersome. Anyone have a good method to add them DIY? like a tiny drop of epoxy or something? side note, I see the layout editor here...

I'd love to know more on how to spot which TI-99/4a have the pingmaster compatible keycaps. are they all black? I see some beige models with keycaps that look like they might workSaltyMcSushi wrote: ↑with some research you can also figure out which keyboard are which by looking at minor differences in the keycaps.
