Not sure if this should have went in the workshop section or this section, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.

I have a 1980s Cutting Edge (OEMMAX/ORTEK) ADB extended keyboard (https://deskthority.net/wiki/Ortek_Mac-105). It had sat in some water or been stored in a wet location ...

I ended up taking the plates apart. They came apart easily, luckily.

Found the issue immediately. Both those key caps had a drop of water underneath that dropped onto the PCB and "glued" the flippers down when I snapped them back on. Problem solved! Now I can clean everything really well now that ...

Recently bought my first IBM Model F keyboard from ebay.

Worked great with a soarers converter that was included. It was filthy, so I removed the key caps to clean them. Also took off the back, wire coil, etc. Did not take apart the main switch plate. Foam is in great shape.

Small update...

Recieved my ADB USB adapter finally, and tested those two AEKs again.

AEK 1 works perfectly now! All lights work. Not sure what was going on before...?

AEK 2 still has those issues. Still have to find time to see whats going on.

Will do. Any ideas on the lights not working on the good one?
