Yeah, it just looks like a generic scissor-switch. Since there's not much innovation to be had with them, most look the same.
Also, to add complication, IBM (and later Lenovo) never made a definitive ThinkPad keyboard internally and instead relied on multiple OEMs at the same time to produce them ...

Does everybody know what Switches is my 2002 Toshiba Satelite 5205-S703 was? I think it might be a same brand that made a keyboard for IBM Thinkpad but I have no clue.

My Cherry G84 that I got from, Zedtheman have some issue, My friend tries to pull the keycap out to see the switches and the switches it self came apart and now I cannot put it back and then I lose the spring as well. I hoped I can find the spring somewhere in my house and fix it.

And Cherry is 11/10 cause you don't have to repair them after 30 years due to missing rivets or bad foam?

Thinness is one of the most important factors of laptops. Boomers will disagree and use their heavy chunky laptops on their legs. Sadly, all modern laptops seem to be complete trash. All they care about is copying Apple, caring more about "thin and light" then actual build quality, and slapping massive, flimsy widescreens on everything that flex like crazy and are a portability nightmare.

I have an IBM Thinkpad T43 and man does it feel like a good dome with a slider! I tried it with my dad's new Lenovo Ideapad and It a massive difference!
