FS: 3 NEC Clicky Keyboards, very close to NOS

Just found 4 of these NEC keyboards the other day and I only want to keep 1 so the others are for sale. The story I got with them was they were each used once when the company (Waters) was setting up their matching computers, then boxed up and set to be trashed because the computers went into some p...

WTB/WTT: SA Pulse cap set w/ numpad

Exactly as the title says, looking for a set of SA Pulse caps with the numpad set too. New is good, used is also fine. I have some Zenith Alps boards or Dolch keycaps from a Pac 60 possibly for trade too. Located in Central MA, text Mike at 508-981-8773 or email stroz.mike@gmail.com

Re: Keycap Recommendations

Thanks, I did a little more research and found the SA Pulse ones that I think would be perfect. I think my next question is what do an original set of Dolch keycaps go for? And maybe someone would want to do a trade for a set of SA Pulse caps plus the numpad ones?

Keycap Recommendations

So I just bought a broken Dolch PAC 60 on ebay that should be here on Monday, and I'm planning on fixing it up and using it but I also want to customize it. I absolutely hate the original keycaps and I'll be selling those to my friend, but I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what keyc...

Sorry about the bad pictures, there isnt any real damage to the board, just some black paint missing under the keys, a little paint missing from the metal tag, and it's a little dirty

FS: IBM Model F AT, model F XT, Zenith Alps boards

Selling a few boards because I need a little extra cash. I'm having trouble with pictures but hopefully I can get them attached soon. 1. IBM Model F AT- works perfectly, excellent shape, just some slight wear where your hands would rest but not overly noticeable. Been using it as my main for 2 years...

Want to trade for Zenith white label keyboard

Looking for a nice Zenith XT layout keyboard with a white badge, the one that looks like an XT but is actually AT for a Zenith z-200 PC I'm restoring. I have other Zenith keyboards for trade, a few black label XT ones and a few tree label AT ones. None are in mint condition, yellowed and dirty but n...

Re: Kit to build first keyboard?

Basically I want something the same sort of off white, small, either wireless or microusb/usb-c, and that will be easy enough to put together for a beginner. Because the 5140 has a slightly nonstandard layout, it might not be "easy" exactly, but other people have done work you can build on. https:/...

How bad is the leakage? Do you have photos? I'd try to salvage it.
Trust me, it was WAY beyond saving. The corrosion was worse than I've seen on anything else. Only things salvageable were the ram and keyboard, everything else was corroded to the point resistors were falling off

Kit to build first keyboard?

I'm thinking of building my first keyboard, but I'm not sure where to start. I want to use Alps switches out of a trashed PC Convertible that had severe battery leakage and make a 60% with the same layout using the same keycaps but I have no idea where to start. Basically I want something the same s...

If that's just an rj11 plug I could make you one from one of my Wyse cables. I don't think I have that exact cable however.
How do I tell what type of "rj" connector it has? I know it's 6 pins and I can take some measurements of the plug on the machine

Re: Wanted: IBM Portable Personal Computer 5155 Keyboard

I know the keyboard is internally identical to a standard XT Model F so it should have the same internal connector, then it has a coiled section that sort of sits in a try at the top of the keyboard, and then something like 8-10" I'd guess of straight with something like an rj11 plug at the end. I d...

Uhhh... a complete keyboard or a complete Portable PC?
A complete keyboard, I already have a perfectly working 5155. Just need the keyboard. I'm sure someone either lost it or just took the keyboard and threw out the computer

Does anyone offer custom assembly services?

I just pulled apart an IBM PC Convertible to fix a couple others and I was left with a spare keyboard in nice shape. I really like the feel of the switches and would love to have a 60% made with them but my hands are too shaky to solder it up myself. Does anyone do custom work like that?

Re: Wanted: IBM Portable Personal Computer 5155 Keyboard

And if you really are in a hurry to use your 5155 you can take off the outer case theres the standard xt connector at the back. That's what I've been doing but I have one model F for 3 XT machines so that's not really a long term option. I did use that to test it and make sure everything is working...
