Sounds like it's a pass then. Too bad, they look pretty neat!
I'm looking for some good Ps/2 keyboards to go with some beige boxes I've got. Most of my boards are 5 din or USB oddly enough. My current favorite is my BTC 5130. I've never tried Scorpius domes so I may give one of them a try.

Re: Playing games on an Acer 6311 is infurating!
If I game, I use the Apex Pro. As others have said, good typing boards (ei, vintage boards) don't usually make for good gaming boards. Not a hard and fast rule but I don't think I've ever even attempted to game on something like a buckling spring or even an alps board. IMO, better to use the boards...

I would love to see an APL set. I'm only now realizing there are no SA APL sets (that I know of... ok sail and symbiosis but ya can't buy em)
An MT3 set ala The IBM 5100 would be primo.
Dare I request those delicious front legends?

I figure since I am in Japan I might as well try out some Topre boards since electronic stores are HUGE h...

Yeah I think these switches can be fun projects. Chyrosran22 did a neat youtube video about them a few years ago. The switches themselves are nothing special but the stems are great for swapping into other housings such as Zealios.

Re: I Plug In, I Type: Steel Series Apex Pro
Maybe sorting out the stabilisers and swapping the caps out would take it up a notch but for now, my search for a new gaming keyboard continues. Just out of pure curiosity here, what style of Stabs are being used on this keyboard? CherryMX or Costar? Was hoping that at least the Spacer Bar would us...

Re: Keebswap - A Mechanical Keyboard Marketplace
Lol, I for one joyously wield the term 'keeb' and wear it as a badge knowing how much it irks the vintage vets. If you're gonna call it a keeb, you have to just accept the derision that goes with it - sort of the keyboard equivalent of saying 'moist'

Of course, but it wasn't really a matter of not respecting his wish, I didn't actually read the details as you guys probably guessed, it was more that I made a simple request and he was an ass about it.
