Accidental spacebar key of some sort? Interesting find! If you can get some close up pics of the inside, i would love to see if there are any differences outside of the spring.

Re: Ideal keycap mount?
As far as stability, HiTek space invaders have just about the most stable mount I have ever felt. I also quite like the Micro-Switch hall effect mount, as it allowed for a cap to be nearly solid.

Re: Reproducing Alps Keycaps (IC)
From my understanding, Alps profile is extremely similar to OEM, just slightly taller. I think the best bet would be DCS, as those molds still exist and are quite common. Tai Hao was a common OEM for keycaps back in the 80s, as Focus, Chicony, and Strongman used them.

Re: Cherry Viola switch
Cherry's marketing team has been all over the place. Am I wrong, or does this look like they are just trying to milk the life out of old tooling?

Made an account to necro this thread. Would anyone be interested in joining me to create a knowledge base for these boards in the wiki? I have a pretty large collection of images and schematics for these boards, and I think they deserve a bit of an encyclopedia.

Looks like a Keytronic vintage foam and foil board. I had a loral conic branded one that looked nearly identical to that.
