I have a Ducky DK9087 Shine II with red switches. If there's any latency, I sure haven't noticed. I use it nearly exclusively for gaming. No rollover issues either.

I can't imagine the build quality getting much better than it is on the Ducky. Seems most people's gripe is the Cherry stabilizers (which I don't mind). I wouldn't really call that a "build quality" difference though. Also, some people don't like the detachable cable on the Duckys, since it's ...

It looks...thick & chunky. Not necessarily a bad thing. Now if they made it backlight with an option for ALPS (Matias Quiet Switch), I'd replace the Ducky TKL I just bought.

I just purchased a Ducky Shine II TKL from them this Wednesday and got it Saturday. No complaints. They have quite a large selection of Cherry boards. I previously purchased from Tiger Imports, and it looks like they're the same place, or merged recently. I didn't have problems with Tiger Imports ...

Yeah...unfortunately, replacing the keycaps isn't really an option on a backlit board, at least if you want to still use the backlighting feature. Especially with custom legends :(

One more thing I will add to this "mini-review". Whatever paint they used on the keycaps isn't as nice as the Ducky ...

The Matias Quiet sounds a lot like a cherry with o rings. I have been looking for a quiet one which doesn't feel like you are bottom out on a rubber surface and typing on a wet newspaper. Does it have a soft landing like dampened cherries or a hard stop?

For what it's worth, my MX Brown board has ...

Ducky Shine DK 9008S vs Keycool 87 - Thoughts & Comparisons

I just received my Keycool 87 from QTan's store. I'm rather impressed that I ordered it on the 9th and received it on the 12th. From Guangzhou, China to Wisconsin in three days is pretty cool. I've created a Flickr gallery with some visual comparisons between the Ducky & the Keycool. Both are white ...

I have the all-black PC version of this keyboard. I prefer the look of the mac silver & black version (not crazy about the glossy black case), but I'll primarily be using this board at work on PCs. I haven't really had a chance to try it out (this work week will be my chance). I don't have an SGI ...

Thanks! I would've had no idea about the space bar. That's kind of annoying, but I can live with it being a regular black key. I've got some red keys (ESC and arrows) that will be staying as well. Maybe I'll post some pics when it's all said and done.

KBC Keycaps with Leopold?

I ran across these KBC semi-translucent keycaps a few days ago and I'm rather smitten with the look of them. They remind me of the translucent keys on the Apple Pro Keyboard (circa '00-'03), which had crappy typing feel, but looked awesome IMHO. I recently purchased a Leopold FC500RC/AB with Cherry ...
