Re: Help with Soarer's
Sounds like something is up with that keyboard. You said it worked before? so i have disassembled the keeb, and noticed that when i held the PCB and cable at different angles it works sometimes. So root of all evil is cable strain, I have now routed the cable through the case differently, works for...

Re: Help with Soarer's
https://i.imgur.com/7VeIa2Y.png Well, it's seeing the keyboard, and it detects as XT. What's triggering those rFF characters? Are they happening on your keystrokes or do they just show up automatically? Yep, happening on keystrokes (once on down and once on up) That's what's weird, apparently "r[He...

Help with Soarer's
Hey lads, need some help over here. I recently bought a Soarer's converter from orihalcon, to start using my AT and XT keebs, and I have this one personal favourite, it was working perfectly for a few days, and now whenever I plug it in and start pressing stuff it doesn't actually give any output. I...

Re: Cherry G80-592H (?)
Whoa. Indeed strange layout. Two additional columns compared to the G80-1300, twice as many keys in-between M and right Shift, and twice as many keys in-between (what would normally be ) '0' and Backspace. The legends are a weird mix of LK201 and IBM PC, with Home/End/PgUp/PgDn instead of Insert he...

Cherry G80-592H (?)
Hi, I just picked up this Compaq branded keyboard, a very obviously Cherry G80 board, vintage MX Blacks and all that good stuff. Unfortunately the classic Cherry sticker showing the article number is blank. https://hardverapro.hu/dl/uad/2021-02/4996310/img_0303.JPG After disassembly, I have found ou...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
If you mean to lock the cable into the front case then no, but it is a tight fit if I just push it into the channel so being portable is still likely. Thanks for the explanation, for lack of a better option I'll say it was someone's DIY project Actually to lock the keyboard into the front of the ma...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
Hi, can you lot help me identify the age and model/manufacturer of this board? Switches are Futaba MA, no markings or labels on it whatsoever The channel for the cable suggests it's from a luggable PC. Does it have latches to lock it into the front of a case? Those keyboards became the front cover ...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
You can alway open it to know the manufacturer, for the Brand you would have too look inside I guess. The has to ve some FCC ID somewhere I have since opened it up, no text or info to be found anywhere on the inside case or the PCB, is it possible that it's not part of any productionline and is jus...
