Beautiful! Looks more like a musical instrument than a keyboard. :)
While I don't mind split keyboards (for a touch typist it's the same, you just have hands in a different angle), those keys aligned to vertical columns (e.g. Q A Z) instead of normal angle would give me a tough time. Why...?

Now I feel like a total idiot.
I've just brought the keyboard with Kailh switches from work, tried it with my home Linux computer and it looks like there is no randomly not actuating B problem !

Interesting! Thanks for those links.
That living hinges durability might probably also explain why good rubber domes can sometimes last for so long - i.e. many years of intense use.

I've created a Python program (OK, ChatGPT has created it for me) that counts keypresses from all running applications. Space bar is the most used key (as expected) but it looks like even my estimates from the original post have been probably too much.

I have no experience with Gaterons but even they should also last more that that:

Genius Mouse
I haven't posted this yet.
Not sure how old it is but even almost a quarter century ago I wanted to use it for fun as something vintage and exotic - that's why the original 25pin connector was changed to 9pin one because RS232 had replaced the 25pin version in early 2000's PCs.

Very nice keyboard! Wonder if the extra space above F-keys row was meant as an area for explanatory stickers/notes or just the style of that era?

My Cherry G80-3000 S TKL has both - differently shaped F J + homing bars on them. They're slowly disappearing after more than 2 years of daily use. When my fingers can't find them, I'll stick something else on there. I'm a pig - so what?

All on an IBM Model F. The same one I just went back to a few weeks ago, in fact. I put 20 years on that board before retiring it for a "modern" keyboard in 2008. I unretired it with a thorough scrub and an adapter cable, and it's back on the job.
Nice. Getting a used, perfectly cleaned Model F ...

I would guess the L stands for a lock but standard three locks are already present.
