Re: Model F Nicked Case
Could you share some pictures of the cerakote job?
I have one F62, I have been meaning to powercoat/cerakote.
I posted some pictures back in September 2021 in the "Post your keyboard/keycaps!" thread in the Gallery forum here: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=7834&p=493156#p493156 ...

Re: Model F Nicked Case
If you find the nick bothers you too much (given where it is and my own personality, it would bother me), I'd suggest looking into having the case Cerakoted. I have three of Ellipse's F77s (two black, one industrial grey) and two original 4704 keyboards, an F107 and an F50. The latter two are ...

recently posted on Reddit: Remapping mouse buttons/axes in hardware, proof of concept ( USB passthrough HID remapper )
Thanks for posting these links. Other than an apparent love of trackballs, the creator of this and I are on the same page. If I'm crazy for wanting such a thing, at least I'm ...

Re: Soarer's Equivalent for Mice?
I think I know what he is referring to: Most mice use a variation of the USB Mouse "Boot" protocol, but with the otherwise unused bits in the protocol used for additional buttons. Those bits would be specific for every mouse model, with the mapping specified in a "Report descriptor". You would ...

Soarer's Equivalent for Mice?
Have there been any attempts at something equivalent to a Soarer's converter for mice? In particular, I'm thinking of something that would allow programming of the functions of one of those many-buttoned mice without resort to the always-awful, always-resource hungry software. It'd be nice if I ...

Re: Post your keyboard/keycaps!
Although I'm quite happy with it, I can't disagree. If anyone's wondering, the F77/F50 combo is about 28 inches across. It was only usable with the Rollermouse--my arms just aren't long enough to use a normal mouse way out there!

Re: Post your keyboard/keycaps!
I've been lurking here for a while, but I'm now more or less finished with my Model Fs for my personal computer and my pandemic work-from-home setup and thought I'd put up the photos. The unusual keycaps are custom ones via DecentKeyboards on Etsy. (While my keycaps may be an acquired taste, they ...
