Another recommendation for topre. I'm almost surprised they even made a quieter version.

So I found another solution in egrips aka GeckoStrips. I bought one of their universal kits of narrow strips, cleaned the HHKB feet with iso alcohol and trimmed two bits to length. These were very close to exactly the right size and raised the board just a hair, nobody would know. These have a kind ...

Great, now I'm hooked on Z-Type. BTW the reason I ask is I'm thinking of taking up Colemak or something, so wpm will need work.

What's everyone like doing to improve WPM?

I was thinking of working on increasing my WPMs, but I haven't really found a thread around here discussing peoples' favorite ways of doing this. I was wondering if people had some favorite programs or preferred to just develop their skill in the field or what. I think I've peaked in terms of speed ...

Happy Hacking keyboard slides about with gay abandon

Okay okay so I maybe exaggerating a little, but I'm just wondering on the best way to stop the HHKB sliding. It stays mostly in place for average use, but whenever I start to hit 80 wpm or so I am having it get away from me. What is the best solution for stopping this? Does anyone sell rubber feet t...

I see. To be fair, who would expect the keyboard to instantly need switching to something called Lite mode, especially given the HHKB Lite... seeing as Mac mode sends scan codes, is there a way to assign them to their stated tasks under Windows?

Thanks. It's actually not highlighting the Win key. It throws bios key code 123 (0x7B) and "Window" key code 235 (0xEB). As well, this confirms fn+tab = tab only. Is any of this normal for the HH?

I could never figure out what Lite mode is. Does it give up some features? Change anything around?

Page up, down, end and home all work. Where can I download Aquakeys? I just checked with Windows 7 and meta keys aren't working there either.

Yes they should, but fn+tab is, strangely, responding like fn wasn't held down and jumping around like I'm just pressing tab. Same story with the vol keys then, however fn arrow keys are working so that's odd. The biggest deal is the meta keys are doing nothing, at all.

Happy Hacking meta keys do nothing in Windows 8

I just received a new Happy Hacking keyboard from EK. I thought the meta keys would serve as Windows keys out of the box? I'm using Windows 8 Consumer Preview and neither they or the vol up, down, mute or caps lock keys do anything so far. Do I need to map them somehow?

Just wondering guilleguillaume, did everything go well?

This maybe a crazy question, but can anyone think of a feasible way to knock out a couple keys and extend the space bar? Preferably without causing gaps. Is there really no way to order that HH key on its own?
