Hello folks,

I recently got my FSSK (ISO-DE) delivered and now I am facing reality in the sense that macOS is not fully supported in the sense that it acts as if it were an Apple keyboard. (Now I am aware this is due to Apple not going along the USB HID standard.)

I am looking for some input on ...

Has anyone already done a layout for macOS pertaining the fn key I could use as a sample? Even more so as it is now used for window management commands.

Cardboard or anything would wear off unevenly if not applied to both tabs so I would be back to square one once the cardboard wears down. To address the root cause (improperly aligned metal tabs), I bent forward the right hand tab that caused the ...

The FSSK space bar is not aligned with the case and the key row above due to one tab (right one from the user's perspective) being offset by about one mm towards the '.' key.

This causes the space bar to move out of the way once the '.' key gets pressed because the space bar's stabiliser wire makes ...

So pertaining Mac and ISO-DE I understand the following. Trying to compile what I have learnt now. Please add/correct me if I am wrong:

By default, the (Classic Style FSSK) Model F Keyboard
o does not support the Apple fn key as physical Apple fn key
o One can configure the Ctrl, Opt and Cmd keys ...

Why is the Classic Style FSSK Model F keyboard not anodized but powder coated?

Would an anodized version not be an option, too?

I am tempted to go for a Classic Style FSSK Model F Keyboard, ISO-DE Mac Layout . I understand how to order extra keys for that, like L/@ and ß/? and Cmd, Opt, Ctrl and F11-F13.
