This has 20g actuation. It does not use MX switches.
I think it uses membrane switches:

Also, Kinesis says they _might_ have a MX switch version of the Freestyle coming out
in a few months, but so far that's just talk.

For lower-force actuation Tom Tyler's MX switch spring surgery method is an option if you can easily open the switch covers to get to the springs & stems (usually with pcb-mounted switches without LEDs).
