Hi 7bit - thanks for all your epic efforts on this. Got my kits fine, very chuffed
Did you get my list of missing keys OK? The most important one is the round 3 ?/ key.
Have included notes of a couple of extras so if you need any of those let me know.
Thanks again

'Professional' sounds pretty good to me. I remember reading an interesting definition of 'Professional' kit once - the question about any such piece of kit is: would you stake your pay packet on this piece of equipment operating correctly? The theory being that if your piece of equipment fails in an...

Oh goodness. I'm gonna put in a very very last minute order - if there's still time? A question for 7bit/megnin or anyone - on the subject of forgetting to order things :) In retro, round3 or noir, are row 3 modifiers available in any set? Was thinking about using the caps lock position as a modifie...

I second/third/forth etc the "anything light coloured" motion. Grey, biege... all good. Definitely prefer lighter boards for some reason. Back on switches - purely from reading stuff here, am thinking I'd probably prefer Uniform. Variable seems better for typing documents in whatever your spoken lan...

7Bit - I've received a few invoices for my order that I've received after the payment for my order had left my paypal account. Are these automatically sent to everyone - even if they've paid for their order? Or - have there been any problems with my payment? Apologies if this question has already be...

Oh, I would take that in a shot. It's all about the biege :) Fwiw, interested in grey too - steely, efficient, clean grey :) Have not used a Topre board yet - in fact I've not even compared different weights of switches yet, so I'm not sure I'm best placed to comment there. On fixed vs variable... a...

Oh, Dirge, am in the UK - Scotland to be slightly more precise. Yeah, definitely like smaller keyboards. I rarely use the numpad - my thinking is partly that my typing should be good enough that I'm fast enough with the normal num keys. Better get stuck into a marathon sesh of typing of the dead the...

Re: Formal letter of introduction
Thanks everyone, most kind :) Am currently on a Compaq MX11800 which I picked up on eBay the other week. MX browns in it which I'm enjoying very much - that was the main reason for getting it really. Have read and watched (thanks Mr interface for your full frontal nudity) lots about switches but had...

Formal letter of introduction
Salutations Deskthority! A quick small note here to say hiya all. Am a noobie here of course, although have been lurking hard for a little while now. In a frighteningly short space of time, something strange has come over me - I appear to have become, umm, a wee bit obsessed by keyboards. I think my...

Thanks 7bit :) and thanks again for organising all this. Payment sent - although I've realised that at the time I Paypal'ed the payment I hadn't sent the payment method IM to the bot. I've sent that now so hope that's worked OK. If you could confirm that you've recieved payment ok and it's all hooke...

Hi all - umm, first post here - order submitted! What an epic effort from 7Bit and all concerned... huge thanks. Deskthority: what a discovery, came upon this site a few weeks ago and been reading every day since - intensive lurking style :) Proper introductory post in the customary manner to follow...
