Re: K-easy keyboard VK-KE003
I dig it. The colors remind me of the harlequin edition VWs.

YALE70 are you trimming the top of the barrel or the entire length inside the barrel, where the key stem makes contact? If the mold has worn a bit, it would make the inside area of the barrel slightly smaller which may increase friction (I have reported this possibility to the factory for analysis ...

YALE70, I gave your flat head screwdriver a try on my "E" key which is one of my worst, but it didn't seem to make any real change for me. I do see the light colored wear "dust" in the same place as you though.
Crud. Feeling like a bit of a special case here. :oops:
Just in case, and because ...

After sitting here for three hours rapidly tapping switches taped to my desk I think I would like to hold off on the de-burring operation.
So to re-cap(ha, puns):
L-Ctrl and L-Alt were the first to start fetching up originally. In early January L-Ctrl got silicone and L-Alt got lithium. Once ...

I've tried some experiments. I first confirmed that using another keycap was fine, which it was. I inspected both keycaps to find any subtle differences but nothing stood out so I started trying things.
The first was burnishing the back of the stem. I used the handle of some stainless steel ...

Are you referring to the post on the top case for the solenoid (the other post on the top case is for the USB cable's p clip strain relief)? That hole should be 6-32 thread and there should have been a 6-32 bolt provided. I suggest testing the hole with another 6-32 bolt. I have installed a ...

Again, I'm happy with what was delivered overall. I understand the reasons for not delivering a fully assembled board, but do wish that, at the very least, the stabilizers came tested and preinstalled, especially if there's undocumented variation in the orientation which they have to be installed ...

Nice photo! The badge goes well with the case and adds a nice touch.
I believe NKRO is enabled by default for NathanA firmware and not enabled for the previous pandrew firmware, which is still on the 62/77 boards which were manufactured beforehand. All other boards I believe use the NathanA ...

So far I'm really loving the Classic F104. I christened mine with an aftermarket IBM industrial badge and it just looks and feels so nice. I don't consider myself a fast or even good typist in terms of technique, but I do genuinely feel more comfortable using this thing than I have with any other ...
