Re: Beam Spring 104+SSK Reproduction Project! First Batch In Stock, Shipping early next year after New Model F Project

Fair enough! Have they been tested to actually adhere to the case? I was thinking the coarse surface of the case would mean that stuff would stick to it pretty badly compared to a smooth surface.

But I might be interested in one, since I got a LED overlay for my BSSK which I obviously realise is ...

So far, I'm liking Kailh Pro Purples (Zealio clone) a fair bit.

I got the board today. (Converter should be here Friday) And I'm actually kinda impressed. I thought people were exaggerating about vintage blacks, but they're actually really nice switches. (I still prefer tactile or clicky switches though)

Based on recommendations here though, I think that my ...

Chyros has done that with one of his WYSE keyboards so just follow him....

I'll see how I like the MX Blacks it comes with

Huh? Black Cherry switches are linear.
I know that they are, but I've heard that the vintage blacks are better than the new ones, so if there's any chance of me liking them at all, it'll probably be those, so I may as well give it a shot. But ...

I couldn't resist how gorgeous the Wyse boards are, so I just bought a PCE from ebay. It all came out to $90 shipped once I added in the soarer's converter from Orihalcon. I'll see how I like the MX Blacks it comes with (I've heard the vintage ones are better, but haven't tried them) and then ...

Well, I suppose that the $100 is a bit wishful lol

That said, it's not so much looking for an upgrade, instead looking for something a little different to play with. I do have a modern MX board that I've been quite tempted to swap for those box switches, though it does have a lot less character ...

Recommended clicky vintage boards?

I have this odd thing for vintage boards, but I'm not sure which I should get next.
I'm pretty familiar with the IBM side of things (I'm typing this on a Model F XT) and have quite a few buckling spring boards, as I love a clicky board, but I'm looking to get something a bit different. And while I ...
