So the topre battlecruiser is on its way to Muirium as we speak, I kept a topre switch from the sample bag to satisfy my urges when they come (I believe I put some cool stuff in the bag too) Thanks to all of you for this awesome tour, it's a great idea and it feels good to see that such project betw...

Wait, look what ended up on my desk yesterday: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63153503/realforce.jpg First time I try topre and I must admit these switches are rather awesome, the feel is completely addictive. Nothing like Cherry mx, it's incredibly smooth and the tactility is kind of unique. I...

Re: Selfmade Paracord Sleeving
you could use a chunk of wood and hammer nails in it to hold either. or yoga style: hold the cable with feet, solder iron in right hand, usb-thingy in left hand, soldering lint in mouth and DON'T MOVE! Haha, yoga style seems fun, hard but fun! :D probably healthy too, as long as you don't breathe :...

Re: The Realforce 104 Euro Tour Reboot!
As for the route, a shortest tour algorithm should do the trick. I'm not impressed with what I've found for that online so far, but here's the ever-clunky Wolfram Alpha : MSP8141if463d635ef7521000053eggii58h4a6hf0.gif I just guessed some random cities in our various nations for the input. Obviously...

It looks like you did not solder all the pins to the Teensy correctly. There are not only the pins in lines near the edges, but also three pins that are inside lines edges. One of these connect to F4, 6,T, G and V, another connects to F2, 4, E, D and X. Escape, 1, Tab, left Shift and left Ctrl also...

you test the board without soldered switches? what does OV mean? I really don't understand what you doing and what are you talking about? I didn't solder any switch cause I don't have the plate yet, so I plugged the board and checked tension between switch pins, on faulty keys it shows zero Volt I ...

Dunno If I am doing it wrong but continuity test gives me nothing even on the working keys (I point each switch pin with the multimeter on continuity mode) I tried aquakey and here is the result https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63153503/aquakey.png the right alt is now working (I forgot to solder...

Phantom assembly problem
hi folks, So I received my Phantom PCB with diodes, I soldered all the diodes and checked them with a multimeter -> all good, no diodes shorted and all of them are soldered correctly, - pin on the square pad. I soldered the teensy and uploaded the ANSI win firmware from bpphany -> seems all right Pr...

Re: Deskthority ALPS keyboard Project
I don't think that would be possible. I mean once you have the source file for the custom pcb, it is possible to modifie the pin footprints to make them match an alp switch (same goes for the custom plate if it has to be plated) I reckon that's some good amount of work but it's not like starting fro...

I am really interested in this project, I think if we want it to be popular enough to gather enough interest it all comes down to make cherry caps compatible with alps. MrInterface already came up with some promising adaptators that will work with a small drawback, slightly increased keycap height. ...

Re: Cherry to Alps adapters
Well I skimmed through phetto's thread who intended to make a custom alps board. I think that's a great idea, that would be something new for a change. My understanding of the pb is that it won't gather enough interest unless it's compatible with cherry mx caps which already have a vast market. So t...

Re: Cherry to Alps adapters
I'll try to contribute as soon as I get my matias switches, I still didn't have the chance to put my hands on an alps so I understand what you said but I'll have a better idea when I see it in person.
That would definitely open new horizons

Re: Cherry to Alps adapters
I'm following this very closely, my only worry is the increased height
I didn't receive my matias switches yet so my question might be silly but would it be possible to design an alp slider/stem with a cherry top?
