Are all the Acer 6311 6312 dyesub though? While finding cheap board to get keycaps, I stumbled upon this listing: http://i.imgur.com/TJHgXyw.jpg The letter A seems clearly faded - is the dyesub that thin or is that pbt laser. I still got some cheap dyesub from vortex and I don't think I can scratch ...

My Matias boards are coming in next month so I'm still at the researching/collecting info phase. On the whole, how bad is the stock v60mts caps? The first post show that the Matias ABS cap is nicely textured, what about the stock caps? Are they cringe-worthy (make you want to get rid of the board) o...

I love you guys :D Also one more thing. Which foam(s) did you guys use to replace the Model F stock foam? Links would be much appreciated. How can one align the hole for the Model F AT (and possibly the F122)? I read from another mod thread that he uses the old foam, then spray paint over the new on...

if you are adding keys left and right of your space bar, you might want to read about how other people did it. a good recent post on it is at GH here: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=48288.0 it does involve changing the space bar (and stabilizer) for that of a Model M. I did read that post quit...

Hmm after a few days typing with my Model F. I think the large key with stabilizer feels slightly sticky. I've tried removing the stabilizer clip but it makes the key wobble - and sometimes the key get stuck. Are there any ways to make the large key feels "smoother"? Also anyone knows where can I ge...

That solves a lot of problem :D. Also are there any advantages of "two-piece" keycap? My F have one piece keycap - could be placebo but the legend seems to be much more crisp compared to my old Model M. Just wondering if anyone used Unicomp custom printed keycap before - or should I just stick with ...

Model F questions
Hi guys, I plan to make a few changes to my Model F AT - mostly changing to a normal sized backspace and normal sized enter key. Still I need a few helps with finding the correct parts. Teensy also on the way but that's for another day. I heard from Clickykeyboards that the small piece of plastic in...

Well with a stroke of luck I somehow get everything working again - though this time it's still a bit heavier than I would have wanted. I vaguely remember bending the stabilizer wire downward, so at button depress the wire is touching the two small edge. I think the next time I open the keyboard up,...

The problems you have sound as if there is debris on the PCB, the hammer got stuck or the hammer spring was not properly seated in the space bar cap. Can you hear it click when you slowly press and release it? If you want to open the keyboard, can you take a picture of how it currently looks on the...

Yea it does look like that in the beginning. Now after bending it does not push the hammer as high as before. It's still slighlty curved upward rather than staying flat in your 1st pic in the original post. After a few reassembly, I managed to make the spacebar work - it is lighter too. However, Eve...

Thanks for the write up - I have a small question though. After bending, does the spring still need to be fitted/stay still in the two edge near the stem (pictured). http://i.imgur.com/SV0Y61q.png I think I did something wrong since the spring doesn't rest on those edges, and when I reassemble the k...
