Keyboards, Plastic, and Static Electricity
I'm working on a new keyboard with a plastic (POM) case. Is electrostatic discharge an issue? If so, what measures are taken to prevent damage to the electrical components? I'm not referring to the construction process but it's actual usage.

I'd keep it if I were you. You did nothing wrong and, if anything, the community owes you for starting and maintaining GH for so long. I think most people realize that.

Very nicely executed. Great adaptation of the Lotus's style and colors.

Re: Most and least reliable keyboard switch?
Fantastically what, I wonder? I like the feel of ML, and the sound. Better than MX brown IMO. I'm with andrewjoy. I like the sound and feel of the ML switches more than most I've used. The MX seems slow to me and has too much travel after using the ML's. I also like the 0.70 spacing more than the s...

I finally had CTR surgery on both hands after 45 years of CTS. Even though they said I had irreversible nerve damage, both hands improved a great deal. The braces made my hands even more numb.I've used several ergo boards over the years with good success. Probably split/skewing the halves and adding...

Cherry original doubleshots, the most sincere and least pretentious keycaps ever. They show solid, perfect readable and well-aligned legends. Their cylindrical top with the sharp edges and their sculptured design are just perfect for professional typists. Their moulds are so perfect that after deca...

After my father died about 10 years ago, I found this 2" timber framing socket chisel in his Pennsylvania basement. I'm not sure he know it was even there. It was covered in a heavy layer of rust and tucked away from sight. I cleaned it up some and put an edge on it. Weighing in at over 2.5 pounds, ...

You might be best to ditch the folding aspect. Folding the keyboard doesn't take up any less volume and adds unnecessary complexity. With a 60-70 switch keyboard, the footprint will be manageably small anyways. I used MLs on a 55 key keyboard and kept the total height to 5/8" with a footprint smalle...

Few things are truly original leaps; most are just baby steps and nuanced improvements in existing products and ideas. There is great merit in this. A proven design shouldn’t be radically changed. I cast my vote for the only product in the running that I would be willing to share space on my desk wi...

IIRC you already had the setup I am aiming at - how would you improve it in retrospective? Sure one cqn check your immediate design changes - I mean in term of what I (soldering skills and low-end wood skills) can do to make it ergonomic wise better. Im planning for my Kinesis Advantage - QMK - Sli...

Can you please share some pics? makes sunking the trackball into the table/chassis of a kb really that much of a difference? I wish I could. While I also love finger trackballs (especially with a ring scroll) you forgot that while they don't collect desk gunk they collect finger gunk and must be cleaned more often than mice. It's the only thing i dislike about mine anyway. That seems to be a common experience for many trackball users, t...

I used a TECK for a while and still have mixed opinions about it. Good build, fair ergonomic design, and nice size and look. Unfortunately, it was plagued with several glitches; not the least being an unresponsive company. Could your problem just be some faulty switches? If so, you may have a quick ...
