Re: Keyboards should include 8-bit computers in them

maybe the most feasible option would be a BASIC interpreter running native on the MCU — providing a user experience similar to having BASIC on a 8-bit computer. yeah, that's pretty much what i'm aiming for right now. The Raspberry Pi Pico is as cheap as a Pro Micro clone -— which is very popular fo...

Re: Keyboards should include 8-bit computers in them

hi all, thanks for the replies, however, the ready model 100, commander x16, emulating c64s, raspberry pi pico, and the sneakbox are all really very unrelated to the topic of this thread other than the connections which are "vaguely modular computer" or "retro related computer" which are not the sub...

That's nice - thanks for the info. You say you don't like damaged keys, so if you're looking to get rid of it, let me know perhaps, I think it's kinda cute.

by the way, what keyboard are those key caps from? the alphanumerics, shift, break (stop), and enter - they're super pretty. I searched around, but I couldn't find much. kinda busy these days! the original keyboard can be found in my last post here's the link https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f...

by the way, what keyboard are those key caps from? the alphanumerics, shift, break (stop), and enter - they're super pretty. I searched around, but I couldn't find much. Assuming those are abs, you can repair the dent in the shift by using abs welding compound. It temporarily turns plastic into slig...

Re: Model F "Bigfoot" typing demo + starting YouTube

tbh all the cluster buttons i have are in pairs, like back/forward, next/prev tab, next/prev window, next/prev desktop, left/right arrow. so i think it might be space saving to have small levers you can push back and forth instead of pairs of buttons for me. so like if i had 12 such small levers the...

Re: DIY open-source trackball similar to MTE

is there a way to use the ploopy with other sensors, like eg the logitech hero? The tracking improvements from the 3310 to the 3360 were huge, the 3360 to the Hero... not so much. The 3360 (originally the Logitich exclusive 3366 in the original G502 and G303) has the benefit of better surface tunin...

I use the G600 now and I just can't imagine using anything else. The moba cluster is so, sooo useful for desktop productivity. I have so much stuff going on there. I agree that they're mushy, they're made out of the same stuff that was used for number buttons on the very cheapest mobile phones back ...

Oh hell no, I'm not that rich! That would easily go past $500, especially with import duty and tax on top.
