Bah! 7bit is a bad person - price goes up on the SPACE150 in colours that aren't grey. I get a correction on the invoice where the correction is less than the paypal fee...
Oh dear... I just ordered some more short spacebars in a variety of exciting colours. I'm sure they'll come in handy.

UK Teensy supplier (at last)
I just discovered that HobbyTronics http://www.hobbytronics.co.uk/ have started stocking the Teensy 2++ (24 GBP) and Teensy 3 (19.80 GBP). I've ordered one of each; I reckon that if I port one of the firmwares that are out there I'll end up with a stack of spare computrons and pins for extra macrolo...

You will need 1N4148 diodes. Choose SMD. It's even a better idea to order MX switches with built-in diodes, that will simplify PCB design dramatically. Unfortunately I haven't seen those being popular in group buys. Thanks for the diode-specification. :-) The switches I sell will never ever come wi...

Sorry... meant to add... the pins on your teensy are made of copper and will solder perfectly happily if that's what you decide to do, but unless you're mounting it directly on a PCB and solderinging it in place through the holes, you're much, much, much better off with crimp sockets. Point to point...

I've then been soldering one of these: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9194 to each row and each column and connecting those to the Teensy. My main concern was that i can destroy some Teensy legs, because they seem to be made of some different metal and doesn't solder very well. Definitely worth ...

Right. I'm about to be soldering in to a Maltron case, which is a point to point affair using solderable wire. Replacing a key after soldering is going to be a complete PITA (though less of a pain one I've regularised the layout a bit - there were wires going everywhere in the original matrix) so I'...

I can do a test of the Kinesis with sphericals using the ones I've pulled off my Maltron; Not sure they're the same profile, but should give me some idea of how things work. The default Kinesis profiles are amazing; they appear to be both column and row dependent, using profile shape to help keep t...

MX switch testing rig?
So, as a result of my gung ho attitude to replacing a keyboard controller, I find myself with a hundred and some Cherry MX switches and I'd like to go through them and weed out the bad ones so I can either sell the rest or use them in insane prototypes. I could fiddle about with a multimeter's conti...

but this set seems to be in some kind of sweet spot for complexity/utility. I'm sorry I don't agree, these are very complex kits for whom has to sort them (and for real noobs, infact we would have to add a TKL kit anyway). I like the idea too but I don't think this is gonna happen. Hang on! I was r...

Hmm... how did this happen? One minute I'm just thinking replacing the controller in the Maltron, the next I've ordered a bunch of MX Browns from 7bit and, because enough keyswitches are up the spout, the point to point wired matrix is both beautiful and confusing, I've attacked the underside of the...

7bit, is this what you wanted? I did it quickly it misses some keys, but just to get an idea. kit-7bit.png would you want to repeat the keys in the mods kit that are already present in the KIT2? Now these breakdowns, I seriously like. Duplicating the common mods seems like it's going to make the mo...

Um... what's the price differential between the SP default KIT1 and a pure alpha kit (i.e., Kit 1 - spacebar and F-keys)? Some pricing information would be useful at this point. If the price difference _is_ substantial, we then come down to the question of whether whoever receives the stuff from SP ...

ALPHA 2xBLANK200P 4xBLANK200 14xBLANK100 All these are available in other kits. Why not selling them separately? do you need so many blanks (especially 1u)? if so I can definitely add more Oh yes. Also this is a kinda advanced set, it's not really done for standard filco tkl For what kind of keyboard is this set really done? Just curious. I take your point, but for utility/filler keys liked the sized blanks, I'm not sure they add much complexity, do they? Asking for no nipple versions of F&J to be thrown in to alpha comes down to having a layout which would have either IH or FT nippled, neither of which is possible using the keys sug...
