These being dye-sub, white on black would be very difficult.
Easy. Dyesub the entire cap minus the legend :D

that would be a little too extreme :)
Hopefully we get there. Things like black text on gray/white/beige caps don't really intrigue me much.

Lighter switches are definitely preferred for me. When I was initially testing all the switch types out, I tried typing on some MX blacks for a while and found my arms tire out far more quickly than typing on reds. Ended up buying a board with MX reds and continue to be very pleased with it. Now if ...

Judging by what SP says in that update, this is actually not a chance at all – the ship has already sailed, since R6 phase 2 will be the last 'Round' set they make. Now, 'forseeable future' does not necessarily mean 'forever'. But it does sound like they'll produce R6 phase 2 in the beginning of 20...

One of the things I find striking about the Dasher colorway is how it reverses the expectations for sets today, with alphas that are darker than the modifiers. I have this suspicion that most of Dancer's buyers are folks who rarely if ever question their subconscious expectations, reinforced as the...

I think the 60% and such users probably keep to home row more. I do not. I tend to float and, given my work, shift my hands to more comfortable positions for typing certain commands at the command line. Movement for me is not an ergonomic concern as much as it is for others. Odd combinations are mor...

That's enlightening for me, as I'm also a young RoR developer with also system admin duties. Thanks for sharing your thoughts based on experience. As much as I want to get a Topre board, Realforce models seemed bulky to me, so compact layout of HHKB was a winner but now I realized that I need to be...

Why did you skipped HHKB? I'm planning to get one Topre (likely HHKB) and a Cherry (i guess Pok3r). I already have my Romer-G G410 for my gaming setup so it will be nice to compare each of them. Will update this thread about those keyboards & developer usage. The HHKB is a layout for certain people...

I'm mildly curious and, assuming they do additional runs in the future, may well try them out. Right now money is set for the XMIT hall effect board and Dasher/Dancer sets. Beyond those, I'm trying to avoid putting more money into keyboard stuff unless I really need it.

More info from MassDrop is definitely needed but a bit of good news via acknowledgement with a potential date seemed a bright spot for the buy given the silence otherwise. Hopefully MD can chime in with more official updates rather than a reply in what started as a general discussion on MD polls.

The polls don't seem to be all that useful or effective with regard to Massdrop and keycaps. Massdrop aren't always the best with regard to communication but things seem to have dropped off with the increased load they've got now with regard to mechanical keyboards and keycaps in particular.

Right. Confirmation of, "you're on the list, date pending," would be helpful. It would be good if they were a bit more effective in communications. They started to for a bit then seem to have dropped off and been rather quiet.

Re: Protection This is a touchy subject for some folks, and I've drawn the ire of other designers because of my own views on the matter.
