Hi all! After lots and lots of messages I sent to Vortex, finally I got a reply from them through e-mail. And yes, it solved my problem! It was the firmware problem, they sent me a software for flashing a firmware to the keyboard, and after I flashed it works fine, and it even saved my programmed ke...

...I believe those switches are plate mounted, so you'd have to remove the case to check for shorts. The switches are PCB-mounted so that you can try opening the respective switch to see if it's the error source. So, what are you trying to say is that I should open that ESC switch and see if someth...

That's a shame, really. Is it possible the ESC key got mashed permanently "on" when you changed the keycap? I'm thinking the firmware might do a scan for matrix shorts when powering up. I believe those switches are plate mounted, so you'd have to remove the case to check for shorts. Maybe, tho I do...

And as you might guess, no reply from Vortex, none. And here is the video, share it everywhere for people to see, and how bad Vortex's customer support is, sadly. I'm really disappointed by their N/A-customer-support, tho I really enjoy their keyboards and I do hope so that they'll improve their cus...

So, today I got ordered switches from WASDKeyboards, and OK, everything is OK, and then I called my friend which is a proffesional in electronics. And then, we opened the keyboard with a card and screwdriver, removed the board (just pull it out, it isn't soldered to anything), and then we started. W...

Still, I might find some in basement, who knows... Also, tell me is some of these keyboards a mechanical keyboard? Tnx! 1. chic...

They certainly should be. If this is like one I had before, though it looks a bit different maybe a generation older. B2D6psMh.jpg Press in the tabs and pull up on the part the keycap attach, to see what is under. Want to verify if it's the kind I think it is. I popped up a switch, took some photos...

I will try to make a mini tutorial this week. You can get switches very cheaply from 7bit, here on DT. He is located in Berlin, Germany. Switches are generally designed for 10 million keypresses, so them breaking should be an exception. I was thinking of getting 10 switches, just for case if anothe...

Switching out a switch is dont in under 5 minutes with a basic soldering iron...a new switch will cost you less than 2$. If you like, I could make a few pictures...a "mini-tutorial". Needed materials: soldering iron, one switch, braid/solder sucker, solder. Hm, was thinking about that. But not sure...

That is swapping the stem and spring only. The bottom housing with the crosspoints is what breaks in a switch, and you need to desolder it to replace it. TTesports told me that I can send them my keyboard and they gonna repair that keyswitch. But I'm wondering should I wait for more switches to sto...

TT MEKA G1 - key "4" stopped working, any ideas?
Hi all, I'm totally newbie about mechanical keyboards and all, so I'd like some help from you if possible! Tnx!
