Thanks for that information. The PG 750 seems to be a nice housing for a RasPi ;-) I found one (without HD) on ebay and bought it now. Enough space for a "Pi-Laptop" with active USB-Hub and everything needed inside the case. I hope, the monitor supports composite.

Only ´`^ are supported by German OS-layout, so everything else requires a macro, simmulating keypresses for an unicodecharacter.

Programming neo2 seem not to be as problematicly as I thought. Layer 1+2 are working (exept not used dead-keys).

Keymap remapping of course is the simplest solution, as there are many normaly unused keys on a standard layout, depending on your habbits. I for example never use ScrUp and down (maybe with numpad but not the extra keys) but of course I wouldnt do the modification anyway as I never use the Windows ...

To send Alt+numpad codes reliably, I think maybe a test is needed for num-lock state.

Testing it, as it seems the Numlockstate is irrelevant. But many characters are not available this way, as the "alt"+"+"+<hexcode> do not work if the menu of the running program uses "alt"+character form menu ...

Sorry to say, but none of the suggestions will work.

The Cherry G80-1501 HAD is a keybord with Class2 Cardreader, which switches to a secure mode for PIN.
Everything else is a normal standard, so modding has no sense if you loose the cardreaderfunction.

So changing the controler is not a solution ...

1.) My first intended use:
I got a "IBM Tastatur P/N 1394312 für Terminal 3477/3487" for 29€, which is cheap for a buckling spring with german layout.
