Manual plates I draw in qcad, using reference dxfs as needed for switch types. Or, I generate the plate dxf from swills tool sites (cap layout first, export to the plate builder), then edit as needed (if needed) in qcad.

If you make 3 seperate stacks of film vs one, with more black tape between, you'd get less light bleed.

I use the menu key all day, everyday for work in Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Seriously though, the 104 bottom row and ANSI field 'makes sense', since most all key caps 'will just work' (though I prefer 1.5x mods / 7x spacebar on the bottom row).

The solenoid in my F107 is held in place with grey (high strength) double sided tape.

Probably easier to use something like silicone cord of the proper diameter, cut to length.

My F62 has the same mold line, inside and out. Contemplating sandblasting it, filling it, sanding it smooth and re-powder coating; but no rush. Debating replacing the foam as well, to match whats in my F107. Or, I could just leave it as for a few years until a refurb...

It types exactly as expected, meaning like my OG F107, the only difference being you can tell that the springs are new (which is a good thing).

Bonus points that the key mapping was already in place ...

Yup, giving it a try as is. Seems to be fine. I just recall having issues with my F107, and having to ensure the usb shield was grounded.

Here's a pic.

The usb cable shield is not grounded to the case on my F62 that just came in. I'd expect ghosting issues like this. The cable is RF choked as well, which I do not need on my F107. I'd suggest a 90 degree usb C connector for the controller, so it's not squished in there.

Nice, I have using NumCapsScroll Indicator for a few years now with my F107.

Easiest to use KLE, then export that to swills plate tool to create the DXF, then open in an editor to confirm / clean up / modify if needed.

Rather than a slavish reproduction of a beamspring model with all of its height and layout quirks, we need a modern reinvention of that switch in a smaller form factor. All of the fantastic typing feel, and none of the drawbacks.

DSA row 3 deep dish would probably match BS profile pretty close.
