I want to order the HONEY/TKL set but it doesn't include a grey \| key. Is there a cheap way for me to get a key like that?

Would a full set of these keys be perfectly usable for daily activity? I saw the discussion about this earlier in the thread.

Fantastic review, it covers just about everything I would have asked to be compared between the two models, and consequently I'm now relieved that I selected the FC660C over the MX model. I like the added reference of switch types other than just cherry vs topre.

I should point out this sentence in ...

I actually have 1 more question to those of you that own an FC660. I was looking at the DIP Switch settings and I'm not 100% sure, but can you swap the FN and Windows keys so that I can have the FN on the left side away from all of the FN Layer keys?

Could you explain why you dislike Keycool keyboards? I feel that the Keycool 84 fits the description of what you're looking for perfectly so maybe we could discuss what it is you have a problem with in Keycool keyboards.

Well EK just removed their FC660C from Amazon for some unknown reason so I think I'll wait on that purchase for the time being :(

Clears are like browns with a lot MORE bump. Reds are the ones that are light like browns, but completely bump free.

Yes, Qtan is reputable and he usually has good prices. He is offering the FC660M with green switches as well, albeit for a higher price. FYI, these keyboards are made by Leopold-China rather than Leopold in Korea.

Would there be some manufacturing differences between the Korean and Chinese boards ...

I'm also pretty curious about the FC660 with clears. I saw one listed on Amazon from a 3rd party seller for something like 160 usd. In fact, here is the listing itself: http://www.amazon.com/Generic-Leopold-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B00E8GKYLM/

I'm pretty interested in buying this if it's ...

As a somewhat new recruit to the world of mechanical keyboards, and compact ones at that, I have to say that all of this discussion has helped leaps and bounds with my decision on which keyboard to get. It seems like a FC660C or FC660M with browns will be the way to go if I want to get the dedicated ...

It has an extra row of keys compared to the FC660, which is actually a sort of a 65% layout. 75% keyboards (TypeMatrix 2030, Noppoo Choc Mini) fit fine in my backpack, they're actually about the same size as a 12" thinkpad. Tenkeyless, which has ~2.5 extra columns, would be kinda borderline.

I'm ...

Now I'm very interested in the board you mentioned. From what I can see on varying websites, it seems to be about the same size as the FC660. If you actually own a Keycool 84 could you do me the ...

It's somewhat sad, but the only reason I haven't opted for a keyboard other than the FC660 is because I need both dedicated arrow keys and at minimum a 2/3 sized right shift. I tried to use something( I can't recall which keyboard exactly ) with a right shift the same size as the Tex Beetle, and it ...

Thank you both! In particular I'm not exactly worried about having to replace the switches, but I can't say that I wasn't interested in possibly changing keycaps. Hopefully I haven't brought up a no-no topic or something but I'm somewhat new to Deskthority so I wasn't aware there was a bit of a ...

Leopold FC660C vs FC660M

Currently, the only Mechanical Keyboard that I own is a Filco Ninja with Browns. I'm looking into getting a smaller form factor keyboard for use with my laptop and in other locations where the keyboards are not well maintained. I have made the decision to get a Leopold FC660 because of the layout ...
