I am trying to understand. What size spacebar is being used? The holes currently being used were or were not produced by my tool. If they were, are they too close to the bend in the wire and would need to be move out? If the costar stabilizers were cut by my tool and are too wide, I can look to add ...

Now that the switches are off I noticed a problem with the test fitting. Spacebar stabs are in the wrong place http://forums.sailinganarchy.com/uploads/1326037471/gallery_3_148_8492.gif So a word of caution when using the site I linked earlier. Now I have to wait till tomorrow to go get my dad, who...

Re: keyboard DIY live?
is there any interest in a live session of keyboard building? :) I would start from something simple like a numpad and would build it live on twitch.tv or youtube live so people can also chime in and ask questions. I like the idea. It would give me an excuse to build one of the many projects I have...

Thanks flabbergast! Then I can at least order my steel plate immediately (with cutouts for all three types of stabs), _before_ I find any stabs. You made my day! dancing-cats.jpg Make sure you discuss with the fab shop how they handle kerf. If you are not aware, kerf is the width of the cut produce...

As to not repeat everything I put on GH, here is the documentation I was referring to for the 'hidden' feature. This feature has lots of potential uses, including Alps only cutouts. I will hopefully get the Alps stabilizer support added soon. https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=65189.msg1685418#msg...

swill's plate building tool [builder.swillkb.com]
I have polluted matt3o's threads enough with posts about my builder, so here is a dedicated thread for questions, answers and such. I really appreciate feedback and I will do my best to field all the questions you have. I will admit, I am on GH a lot more than here, but I will make an effort to be m...

Not to pollute your thread, but I figured I would add a quick note since some people seem interested. I added support for the standard Poker case as well now, so you can cut replacement plates for your poker (or GH60 or whatever other 60% PCB you have). I will hopefully be able to get universal TKL ...

Haha... That is all configurable. For the sandwich case you need at least 4 and it supports any even number greater than 4.matt3o wrote: ↑too many screw holes you need far less than that. but great tool anyway!

This is an awesome tool! Any chance that you can update the application to support layouts like the ErgoDox or something similar to it? I'm working on a gamepad layout that is similar to the hand layout of the ErgoDox. I already support the ergodox alphas, but I currently do not support rotated gro...

I think this is the best thread to ask for some help. I finally decided to build my first hand-wired keyboard. After pulling my hair out with various cad software, I found swill's plate building tool ( http://builder.swillkb.com/ ) Now I have a few questions : 1. how to I convert the resulting stl/...
