I've only been messing around with shapes so I don't have anything to show, but one interesting thing is that you can use Shapelock to create key layouts. If you create a little board of plastic and then soften it, you can press a Cherry MX switch onto it and then wiggle it a bit and then let it coo...

Whoa, this looks a bit like what I'm working on. You may already know this but something like Shapelock can be useful for a project like this. It seems to have different names in different countries but basically it's a plastic that becomes very soft at 60-100 degrees celcius and becomes solid at ro...

Has anyone ever tried using an MX Clear spring with an MX Brown switch? I really like the MX Clear but the tactile point is ultimately too cumbersome. It's too stiff, too 'tactile' even. But what I don't like about the MX Brown is that the spring is too light, but the tactile point is quite alright.

For typing, rather than gaming, the hysteresis characteristics of MX Blue and buckling spring won't hurt you at all, so really, you've got a wide range of choices. Really, try all sorts of stuff. Personally, I like a keyboard with low initial force (~10-20 cN), moderate peak force (~50-60 cN), a sh...

I think the sticking you're describing with MX Blues is the reset point, which isn't close (enough) to the activation point. MX Brown has both points closer, so this won't happen. Try MX Brown. They have a different feel because of the reset point. Personally, MX Blues might be my favorite if it wer...

For me personally... the biggest factor in favoring one switch over the other is the activation force. I had a ludicrous time picking browns over reds because the force is the same. Although I like blues also. But anything heavier I probably wouldn't like... and I've tried heavier keyboards although...

Man, was just about to order some but I saw some pics of the switch in question and I'm having second thoughts (even though I'm familiar with the switches in question, obviously)... maybe I need scissor switches. But where could I possible buy those? Good quality scissor switches also, which are eve...

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'll ask anyway. I need switches. But, I don't know if I ever need to mount them PCB or Plate. No idea what the difference is. But I need switches for my prototype ASAP, and these aren't so costly that I would regret it. Or would I regret it after all? ...

Yes, pretty much all boards have shipped by now. I think two or three are remaining because the people did not fill out the forms properly. I will be contacting them separately soon. Yours was not one of those though, since I have your address on like 3 different occasions anyway ;) I was on the li...

Also to keep this updated, everyone that did not pay yesterday also did not pay today, so these orders are all cancelled and will not be included in the final shipment: runeazn, LastChance, Overcow, vils, Lenny_Nero, roooic What does this mean for people who missed out on ordering when you accepted...
