Copyright is not an indicator of built date though. I mean you can find 1977 Copyrights on most BASIC chips which were still used in 80s technology. A better indicator would be to check actual manufacture dates on the IC or other ICs.

It might be some Taiwanese clone. It also looks like there is a ferrite core on this cable?

Edit: yes this has to be a clone of a G80-1000. Look at the right shift key. The legend seems centered.

I would guess the Apple ones are made by the same OEM that made the old Cherry MX WYSE generation 1 keycaps. Spruce marks and especially the corners seem similar:

How very curious. Can you estimate if there is an actual Cherry text logo behind the sticker on the PCB? It all seems so odd. Daniel will be all over this I guess.

It indeed would be easier with some pictures for identification of the keyboard. As Muirium said, oftentimes third parties involved (in this case Ferranti) slap on their own part numbers to re-badged keyboards, so getting more information on it might be hard without knowing the common Cherry part ...
