Hi everyone, what is a Model M2 worth? I don't want to sell it, I'm just going to paint the case so I'd like to know if I'm ruining a collectable or not

I'd go with DSA caps, they are lot easier to find and probably better than completely flat caps.

I've tried for the first time DSA caps this week and they're really awesome, I like them a lot more compared to Cherry profile!

If it IS broken, it's almost certainly due to the capacitors. Simply solder in new ones and it should work.
Yeah I'm not that much worried about it working or not, indeed. I just hope to have the right capacitors at home and not having to go out and buy them :lol: My only concern was it being ...

Yup, that's an M2. Rare to find one nowadays that works - only one of my three worked, and that only partly at first. Did you have yours tested?

the plate was cut out from a carbon fiber board as well as a back side plate, those 2 made a sandwich style case then slided ...

If I were in your position I'd probably consider other options. I owned a Quickfire TK and if you often change between numpad and arrows it's not that good, it was pretty annoying for me to go on the arrows with the numlock still active and write numbers all over the place.

Not so recently I acquired two G81-1000HAU, both without the sticker on the back. Now I started working in a typography, we print stickers all the time, and I'd like to print an accurate replica of the label.

You might get a few more since I just posted some tasty pictures of this board wearing Round 5 caps! It suits them quite well I think.

They tried 3 times and then marked the address as incorrect, now I asked for another try...

Got mine aswell. Looks good. But I got the caps from the G81-8008LPAIT aswell without realising that all the mods have a strange stabaliser... It was the mods I was going to use on regular MX board... :o :(

Anyway, that was my own fault for not checking it up. :oops:

I paid more for the rubber dome IBM Model M I just bought, than what I paid for my buckling spring Unicomp Model M :cry: Unfortunately I dind't have a clue...

Now what should I do with it? The conditions are pretty nice. The keycaps are just filthy but not shiny. The case is almost perfect apart ...

...and here is his older, slightly scruffier, slightly stupider (the arrow keys and nav cluster all send numpad scancodes) PAC60 ISO brother.

This was after a pretty massive clean session, I'm not sure what it was coated in but it was pretty grim...
This is the first time I like an ISO version ...
