Thanks!

Thanks! Looking through some pictures of keytronics boards, I think I agree.Parak wrote: ↑Judging by the position of the caps lock LED and the shape of the keycaps, I believe this to be a keytronics switch based keyboard. Heightwise it would have to be the foam and foil variant. Not 100% sure, of course.

Yes they are interesting.Parak wrote: ↑Interesting legs, but keytronics... oye.
I'm not sure I follow you - 'oye'?
Are you saying this keyboard was made by keytronics? If so, how can you tell?
Thanks

Help identifying a keyboard
Can anybody shed some light on this? The cross-shaped arrow keys, the font and the LED on the 'caps lock' key remind me of some AMSTRADS ( this and this ). Does this layout look familiar at all? The manufacturer is 'AWA', but I suspect this is rebranded. http://i.imgur.com/0cf3Xiw.jpg Also, note the...

Question: is there 'M9' written somewhere on the switch, possibly inside or underneath? I ask because it seems that if this is not the case, the classification of these pre-MX switches is arbitrary … See [wiki]Cherry catalogues[/wiki]. M9 is covered in the Cherry Keyboards and Switches Catalogue 19...

It means that you can reverse the slider inside the housing. One side of the slider is supposed to have a little bump on it, that makes the tactile feel. However this may not be true for all M9 switches. Mine do not have a reversible slider. Question: is there 'M9' written somewhere on the switch, ...

I think I write as much as I type. I work in mathematics and so very often am using chalk or a pen on scrap paper. However I am also involved to some degree in computer science, programming and computational mathematics (Mathematica, MATLAB, &c.) and so I do my fair share of typing. In my opinion th...

What board are they on? It's something branded 'Advantest'. I'll get some photos later on today. These look similar. Aside from the difference in color, the base of the switches in my photos have the Cherry logo on them, whereas the M9 switches do not. Would this mean they are a completely differen...

Just as an aside, whilst taking a closer look underneath the PCB just now, a spider crawled out from between the PCB and the plate. Looked like this: http://www.spiderzrule.com/spiderphotos/brown%20recluse%201_small.jpg Does this help in identifying the switch? EDIT: Update: I believe these switches...

What are these switches?
Definitely Cherry brand, I don't think they're MX switches - the stems seem too tall. They do not click. (please forgive poor quality photos!)

A local recycler is selling this for $30: http://www.star-tc.com/jpg_img/TR45103.JPG According to him, its for use with an Advantest brand logic analyzer, circa '85. Obviously it's not a PC keyboard, but looks interesting nonetheless. Any body venture what kind of switches it might use? I haven't se...
