Re: Price Check: How much is my _____ worth?
I'm thinking of selling my Symbolics 3600 . The linked thread is almost 10 years old. It has been shelved/boxed since. Any idea what's realistic for these today? Mildly interesting side story: looking at the old photos, I realized the keyboard had come with a cable. Which was not there when I picked...

Sorry for the long delay. We're going to open-source the project. Case design files, KiCad files, (unfinished) firmware, Node Webkit host app, etc. Took me some time to realize we're not going to finish it. We had 2.5 developers working on this for a few months, well, you can do the cost-related mat...

Short travel ftw! ;) No progress at all. :( Moving the shop is finished. Some stuff left but that can wait. I haven't been able to find someone for the firmware programming. I won't have time in the near future. Not sure how to proceed now. I could either completely open source the project, or parti...

:D if its going into production - split spacebars? ISO and HHKB support? If... No split space bar, there's no space for two switches and stabilizers AND the mouse buttons. But there's the touch controller so it should be possible to detect what side of the space bar has been hit. ISO and HHKB is alr...

Yesterday I finished the Rev B version (the white one) electronics and mechanics. Firmware is unfinished, the bootloader doesn't work yet. And the connection to the desktop interface isn't there. Pointing stick acceleration could be faster. But writing works, as you can see here. Not sure if...

Hey fruitsaladfingers, the move is still in progress. Still working on finishing things for that. Many are not keyboard related. During the last weeks I put together the "white case" prototype which will be a RevB. Firmware is working (with a fixed layout), bootloader not yet. The initial plan was t...

Much better than the $1200 Symbolics mouse that popped up lately:

That mouse was black though.

Firmware Group: not yet. But I'm optimistic. I had another case milled (the third one) which is waiting for finishing. Case will be matte black, hopefully powdercoated. The finishing has to happen this month as I have to move the workshop soon. This month or next. Still not sure when. I also had ano...

Thanks for the comments. There are various members here with pretty direct lines to manufacturers, maybe get some help? Yes, will do. I have one or two leads to check, then I'll ask here. First get it running though. :) 6KRO: that's the USB limitation. Beyond that you have to do tricky wizardry. I f...

The mouse buttons are just part of the key matrix. You can re-program these as keys or other keys as mouse buttons... There should be a solution somewhere. Key in the lower left for ex. I never need it for anything. Or Meta+RightClick as MiddleClick. Or use the Touch controller. Mechanically a third...

Sorry for no updates. If there's something consistent with this project, it's the lack of consistency. :D As I said before, I lost one important coworker earlier this year and the other guy has little time since some months. Me too. Anyway, I worked on it during last weekend and (almost) finished th...
