Is the 87 **better** than the 86?, not in my opinion.
I actually prefer the 86.
YMMV, it's all down to personal taste and preferences IMO.

If you need arrow keys on a Poker you can switch on an arrow cluster in the bottom right of the board if you don't mind losing the other use of the 4 keys that are affected. This is done with Function+Space so can be flicked on and off in a moment if desired (but that's not really the idea).
