Is there any info / photo about how (already available) keycaps for these new switches look like, or can look like?

I still kind of like the older "MX low profile" because of the compatibility of its key stem with the cherry mx keycaps - at least the SP DSA keycap sets can fit.

A thread of such an unbelievable collection in pristine condition emerged since the end of 2020, speechless...

I like Sun's older keyboards as well as Silicon Graphics' "Granite" keyboards much more than most of the average IBM keyboards (model F & M) in terms of their overall industrial design.

Being the 2nd most common switches (not counting rubberdome / scissor switches), Alps switches are more interesting than their MX design ...

This layout takes up just 1 less column than the 1800 layout / fc980 layout does but that makes the numpad much less useful for those who really need a numpad. I personally don't use a numpad and I can go with the 75% comfortably if I need the nav keys and the F keys.

Nice attempt though.

I also made an alsp opener by crafting it out of a plastic ruler - for popping out the parts of Alps switches when they were still soldered on the NeXT keyboard. I just brush cleaned and air-dusted the bottom housing while I ultra-sonic cleaned the other parts to freshen up this NeXT keyboard with ...

I also have something like that but it has been collecting dust on the shelf - I can't play with it all day...

Anytime I'll still got for the classic design and pair it with hasu BT or the KBDfan BT module, even with TMK & QMK keymapping support.

The Videowriter indeed has a very usable 60% layout - if the keys are remappable and there are layers to be assigned to for the keys.
