I've been wanting to talk to them about getting a custom set in the works, but they've ignored or not received any of the messages I've sent through their website.

No, though I recall that someone had contacted them before. I'm sure Massdrop has connections but I'm not sure how helpful they would be.

Why not one of the companies that have been proven to be receptive to such things? SP, GMK, JTK, MaxKey, etc.

Other than SP, Tai Hao is the only company I know of that actually has Alps molds. SP is of course most receptive, but their kits are almost always an order of magnitude more expensive that what you can get from TH.
