adding buttons on a keyboard

Is it possible tot add buttons on a keyboard? For example i want tot make a volume wheel with a rotary switch i can use the Windows shortcuts (ctrl+f10=lower volume)

You can physically add buttons or wheels to a keyboard. You may use the scroll wheel and the controller from a mouse for that. If you want your keyboard controller to do totally different things, I think it's best to put a new controller in your keyboard.
