An easy way to get a QMK board set up is to create your layout in http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/ then import that layout into https://kbfirmware.com/ where you assign rows/cols, pins, layers, etc. It will give you a hex file that can be directly flashed to your controller. Make sure to save the config itself so you can make changes later.

can i make my numbers keymap to be only numbers
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | and so on
and to make different single keys for
! | @ | # | $ | etc..
