Hello,
Two years ago, the controller IC on my QTRONIX board failed. I plan to replace it with a Teensy++ 2.0. After mapping out the PCB on an Excel spreadsheet in my spare time, I’ve finally completed the task. Before proceeding further, I wanted to check if anyone here has undertaken a similar project and might have some advice or suggestions. I’ve used QMK a few times and believe it’s the best option for this project. IDK if retrofitting a Teensy to the QTRONIX pcb is as simple as just rerouting the I/O from the controller IC socket to a daughter board with the Teensy? Or is there anything on the software side that might trip me up?
Additionally, if anyone knows where I could find a keycap set that includes a BA Enter key, I’d greatly appreciate the help. Finding one has been quite a challenge.
Thank you!
QTRONIX SCORPIUS 305 (Controller IC)

Cool, I will try and update as soon as I determine weather or not I can reuse the factory PCB, do you have the model with the Large trackball on the right??
