Did I break my switch.. somehow?

I've had my Das keyboard for a long time, I wouldn't be surprised if it has been two years already. I was bored watching The Office and just messing with my keys. I was pulling the 1, 2 and 3 keys back with my fingers (if you can't visualize it, hold your 1, 2 and 3 keys with your fingers and just pull back). I did this with way too much force apparently and heard a snap from what I remember. Now my 1 key now sounds like this:

In that video I hit 1 and 2 over and over again so you can hear the difference in sound.

I have tried switching between the 1 and the 2 keycaps and the issue still remains, so it's not keycaps. What the hell did I do? I am planning on going topre relatively soon, and the key still register without issues.. but that makes me sad :(

You might have kinked the click leaf inside the switch. You will need to solder in a new switch.

DAS is plate-mounted, right? If so, you'll have to purchase one now switch, and resolder them all.

That doesn't sound fun at all. Oh well, no big deal since I am going topre soon anyways. At least the key works too, still!

Thanks guys for the replies :)
