Apple M0116 not working correctly

Hello deskthority, I recently purchased an Apple M0116 keyboard that only works when I continually hold down the power button while using it. I'm using a drakware ADB2USB converter, which works perfectly with my AEKII (that's how I'm typing this). I've tried opening up the switch, and it looks really clean inside. No solder joints look bad, nothing looks electronically wrong. Do any of you know what might be happening, and/or how I could fix it?
