After learning that the 6787 wasnt capacitive BS , I set out to find those supposedly rarer typewriters.
And found one the same day. For free

Though it being for pickup only , I convinced the "seller" with some nice words money to send it to me.
After a few days of waiting, its finally here.
Here are some images from the disassembly today (dont have time for more atm).
Gorgeous looking keyboard. A very nice touch is the german layout.
After removing the top housing.
The Selectric typing element like in older models.
There was a dampening layer under the metal plate of the keyboard. Its glue has dissolved over the years and went back to being crude oil or something
