Hello friends!

I'm currently looking for someone in the community that offers bolt-modding services (for a fee, of course). Ideally, someone with a lot of experience doing this kind of work. The reason is that I have a New Old Stock IBM Model M13 that I'd like to have bolt-modded (or screw-modded?, whatever is best).

I am not based in the US, but the keyboard is. It is currently located in Texas. I'd like to have it bolt-modded before it ships to me, so as to ensure many years of continuous operation.

Anyone does this kind of work, or can point me to someone who does? I'd really appreciate it!! :)

There used to be a guy that went by the handle of @1avid_collector who sold bolt-modded Model Ms on eBay. I purchased a couple from him years ago, and boy! His work was fantastic! Unfortunately, he's no longer part of the community and is not doing these jobs anymore.

Here's a pic of the keyboard, just for the sake of it.

Hi there!

I appreciate I'm not in the US, but if you really can't find anyone let me know!

I do this in the EU and UK and am based in the UK. I charge 50£ + shipping :)

ClickyKeyboards.com will probably be happy to do that for you, and they have a lot of experience. I'm not sure how much they charge.
I am guessing you are the lucky owner of that NIB M13 that was just sold on eBay, congrats :)

We have done a few (thousand) vintage IBM model M restorations and screw-mods in the past 19 years. ;)

Here are a few examples of recent black model M13 restorations in the past 9 months.

You can use the following link to order the ClickyKeyboards service and you then have your seller in Texas ship it directly to us in New Jersey.

We have had a dozen others so far this year buy keyboards on ebay and have the seller send the raw keyboard to us. We test and inspect, photograph the restoration process, and then forward the finished keyboard to the final destination. Contact us at clickykeyboards@gmail.com if you have any questions and we would be happy to chat.
