Nostromo SpeedPad n50 (any ideas)

I found this thing. It works but I don't really have much use for it.

I already put it apart and back, it doesn't have any switches, there is a membrane under the keys. I don't know how much room there is to make something cool out of it. Any ideas?

It doesn't fit the tray next to my keyboard. I was thinking about cutting off the lower part to make it fit. But I'm not sure about it. Maybe if I store it for 20 more years it becomes valuable?
