Hello,
Recently I purchased a IBM Model M (made by IBM). It came in a brand new condition. For some reason, the Caps Lock key becomes sticky (as in if I put my finger on top of it to touch it, after a few seconds, the key cap feels sticky).
I also noticed that the center of the Caps Lock key is "shinier" than that of other keys as if there is a layer of coating (or is devoid of a layer of coating). Does anyone else experience this? If so how did you clean your key to make it feel "smooth" like the other keys?
Thanks,
My IBM Model M Caps Lock key sticky

Well, since this is posted in the Geekhack Refugee Camp subforum GHETTO I can ONLY guess.
Anyway I like Simple Green. I plan on doing a cleaning tutorial (I was RUDELY interrupted at GH doing mine) but here are some preview pics...
