I wanted to save some of the content I posted at GH so I used a few tricks to do just this and it worked acceptably well, so i thought i would share for anyone who might want to do this too but not know how. There may be other ways of doing this, but I used Google's web page cache.

First, think up a good search term for the page you want to back-up. Check your internet history to see if you can find the page title or if you remember the author's screen name, include that. Enter that as your search term along with "site:geekhack.org". It you picked a good search term, your content should be at the top of the results list. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK, but instead, hover to the right - you should see a preview of the page - ignore that and look for the full URL and the word "Cached" to the right of that; click on the word Cached.

When the page is displayed, click on File > Save As > <enter_name>
