Hello, I am circling the event horizon of the mechanical rabbit hole. But, I have a unhealthy attraction to terminal keyboards with weird propriety connections, 5 pin DB-9's etc.
Onto the question, the wiki is a powerful resource but it does not help me with the age old questions, will it connect, how does it connect and does somebody have a stock converter for it?....
Could the wiki be expanded to cover this sort of information? I guess the knowledge is within the community.
Just a thought.
A "will it work? / how it will work" addition?

The basic information of the wiki page in question should give you the answer; even easier is to look at the other end being your computer you are trying to connect it to!
In 2017 we have three prevalent OS's with very few common connectors and just as few protocols these "speak". Here is the main one:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB
this one used to be the main one:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS/2_port
chances the terminal keyboard of your fancies uses this are slim right?
Adapters and conversion is another topic on the other hand.
wiki/Converter
And since you like exotic terminal keyboards have a look at this if you have not yet, plenty of fantastic machines here that none of us will ever be able to connect to our modern computers:

Thanks, but I am not talking about anything as basic as what is a PS/2 port or how do I connect to a old wired Sequent Dynix UNIX box. More the, I have a Wyse 55 keyboard how do I get it talking to a USB machine without being a expert in Microcontrollers?

Well you did not specify "Wyse 55 keyboard how do I get it talking to a USB machine" in your post, but "Wyse 55" is what you need to enter into your search here:

sure, you are more than welcome to add the information to our wiki, you can use your deskthority user ID and pass to log into the wiki at the top right.
Just to clarify, we have a lack of people working on the wiki and an abundance of data to be added.

Yes, they are fantastic and an extreme example of such. I really wonder what the thought behind this was? Since this is a "portable" machine possibly ADDS thought these colors would be better visible to the user in certain conditions?Myoth wrote: ↑I have never seen so bright keycaps
