Louisiana's nickname is "The Pelican State". However, pelicans are found all over the world, with the exception of the interior of South America, the polar regions, and the open ocean. Great quantities of discarded plastic are found in the open ocean. Does this mean discarded plastic is more adventurous than pelicans?
